Prayers

Monday Prayers take place in the vicarage from .

This is a quiet time which involves prayers from the prayer board being offered to God, prayers for those in need and prayers for our church and town.

There is also the opportunity for prayers for healing.

If you would like a special confidential prayer for yourself or for others come along and make yourself known or see Say a Prayer for Me.

The Prayer Ministry team is here to pray for the needs of the our world and everyone of us. Please let us know what you'd like us to pray for you, your families, your colleagues, or loved ones.

Whatever you tell us will be handled with strict confidentiality.

We want to encourage you to find a way to pray, day by day.

In the Morning

I start each day with the Bible.

Over the years I have used many different resources. My favourites include:

At Lunchtime

We are using Prayer During The Day as the service order. It is very short, say 10-15 minutes and everything you need is included so you don’t even need a bible!

Mike and Ali are also using this service each day at 12:00noon. So if you want to you could use the same prayers at the same time.

At Night

At the end of the day I review the day with God. This is called the examen and comes from St Ignatius (1491-1556).

This has been one of the most formative spiritual practices in my life.
